Technology has transformed nearly every aspect of modern life. Concepts such as Internet of Things, Smart Cities and ultimately Smart Everything are shaping our times more than ever before. The spectrum covers everything – from Smart TVs through integrated value chains to interconnected critical infrastructures. This obviously brings many advantages and improvements with it, but also many known and unknown dangers – the more interconnected infrastructures become, the more they are vulnerable to cyberattacks. Hence why cyberattacks are a top three risk to society, alongside natural desaster and extreme weather. The lurking threat affects everyone – from individual citizens to critical infrastructures. In this keynote we will discuss various real-life scenarios that highlight how and where our digital society is vulnerable.
