Human Oversight: The Human Factor in AI Security – A Risk Mitigation Strategy or a New Attack Vector?
Human oversight is promoted as a safeguard against various risks associated with the use of AI systems and is listed in the EU AI Act as a core requirement for high-risk AI systems. However, in order to effectively mitigate risks, this human oversight must be both effective and secure. Matthias Heck’s presentation offers an introduction to the security perspective of human oversight, as well as an insight into potential attack vectors and corresponding hardening strategies to enable secure human oversight.
