PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Media reports about cyber attacks on the economy, state and society appear almost daily. This development is favoured on the one hand by the ever increasing networking of systems and devices. On the other hand, attackers are acting more and more professionally and using increasingly sophisticated attack methods that are often difficult to detect and cannot be fended off with classic protection mechanisms such as virus scanners and firewalls. Companies must therefore be able to adapt to the extremely dynamic threat situation in the short term. To successfully deal with cyber risks, up-to-date information, the exchange of knowledge and experience and the continuous development of security competencies are essential. With the Alliance for Cyber Security founded in 2012, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is pursuing the goal of anchoring precisely this know-how in German organisations and thus strengthening Germany's resistance to cyber attacks. In autumn 2020, more than 4,500 companies and institutions were already members of the initiative - and more participants are joining every day. IT service and consulting companies and IT manufacturers are equally represented in the network as user companies of all sizes and from all sectors. This diversity is an important guarantee for a rich exchange of IT expertise and application experience from which all participants benefit. Around 100 partners and 50 multipliers are involved in the initiative and thus make a valuable contribution to more cyber security in Germany as a business location. In principle, any German institution (companies, authorities, etc.) or more precisely any institution based in Germany can become a participant in the Alliance for Cyber Security. The participation is free of charge. Further information on the Alliance for Cyber Security can be found at www.allianz-fuer-cybersicherheit.de.
