The server software OpenLDAP implements the IETF standard LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and serves as a reference system for other implementations that are based on this protocol. There are certain commercial LDAP servers, however, with OpenLDAP an open source version with which you can save on license fees. Use one of the most effective LDAP implementations and benefit from the enormous flexibility, that enables the application to adapt to the performance of the hardware. Overall, OpenLDAP brings stability to your IT infrastructure. If you need more or individual features, for example a work flow mechanism to write authorization attributes or to solve problems caused by data that is not standard compliant, DAASI International can programme an overlay to enable the necessary functions.
