davit Arbeitsgemeinschaft IT-Recht

 davit is the task force Information Technology Law of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein). It was set up in 1999 and currently has approximately 818 members. These are lawyers whose professional interests lie in the field of Information Technology Law. This field of law mainly comprises the following areas: licensing and cloud law, computer law, data protection law, internet and multimedia law, new media law, telecommunications law, digital business and commercial law. davit offers continuing education in the field of Information Technology, Data Protection and Digital Business law and provides information on new legal developments and technological trends. Through discussions and information events it promotes communication, exchange of information and networking both among members and with IT-, Data Protection and Digital Business professionals and enterprises, particularly by participating in IT- and Data Protection Congresses and fairs, such as the it-sa. davit also makes influential contributions to discussions on statutory and technical frameworks in the field of Information Technology Law and informs both legal professionals and professionals of the IT-, data protection and digital business community about aspects of information technology and security as well as their legal impacts and requirements. Further activities of davit include joint advertising on the davit.de website of the advisory services offered by members, working and cooperating with associations and professional journals and participating in the annual conference of the German Association of Lawyers, the yearly German IT law conference on the last Thursday and Friday of April as well as various IT law conferences all over Germany
