The eco - Association of the Internet Industry e. V. surveyed security experts from September to December 2020 on the cybersecurity situation, current incidents and trends and presented the results in the eco study IT Security 2021. Germany's IT security experts also saw a high potential threat from cybercrime for the German economy in 2020. But there are also indicators that are cautiously positive: 77 percent of the experts, and thus fewer than in the previous year, assume that the threat will continue to increase. In the previous year, 91 percent of those surveyed had assumed that the threat situation was at least growing. The lecture gives insights into the results and, using current examples, outlooks for the future.
