Surfing the web, visiting foreign countries, shopping at the supermarket - all these activities are enabled in the background by PKI. PKIs are a proven method of building trust because they provide a trust anchor for integrity, confidentiality and authentication.
There is now a global trend to connect large numbers of sensors and devices to the internet and cloud to automate processes, gain insights or provide functionality to end users.
