Session description

Network security doesn't end with encryption. In an age of growing cyber threats, new EU regulations (e.g., NIS2), and the impending post-quantum era, companies must think holistically about security. In our presentation, we'll provide a practical overview of the various security layers in the network—from Layer 1 to Layer 3—and explore where encryption makes sense, but also where its limitations lie. We'll show how a SOC connects these layers, detects threats, and evaluates the effectiveness of protective measures. We'll also take a look at the EU roadmap to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and what companies should do now.
