other. The legal basis is given in Art. 32 GDPR, the EU data protection
regulation.
Because IP addresses are personal data, every communication in computer
networks to which users are connected is a data protection issue.
With the German law TTDSG, even terminal based communications, that can be
assigned to individuals, is relevant to data protection, even if no personal
data would be affected.
In the presentation, the legal and technical bases will be mentioned, and
recommendations for higher security and better data protection will be given.
