On 27 December 2022, the NIS2 Directive ("The Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive") was published in the Official Journal of the European Union and came into force on 16 January 2023. NIS2 provides the regulatory basis for cybersecurity and the protection of information systems in companies and organisations.
