Local authorities are increasingly becoming the target of cybercriminals – public budgets, skills shortages, and complex administrative structures make them an attractive target. In this short talk, we show why cities, municipalities, and public authorities in particular need to take urgent action – and how they can build resilience despite limited resources. With pragmatic strategies, smart awareness measures, and a clear goal: to ensure digital capability in an emergency – and thus protect public services.
