AI promises efficiency gains, new business models, and large-scale automation. Yet, a crucial point is often overlooked: the very data that makes AI systems so valuable is frequently massively over-exposed within companies due to legacy permissions, unused access rights, and a lack of transparency. More than 95 percent of all data access rights go unused – and every one of these unused permissions represents a potential vulnerability.
