Session description

Speaker: Thomas Freund

The use of AI in production requires more than classic IT security. The following topics will be highlighted within the lecture.
We need to balance the protection of AI models with the functional safety of the production environment (OT).

Foundation through IEC 62443: The international standard IEC 62443 forms the backbone. We implement a “defense-in-depth” concept that embeds AI components in hardened security zones and minimizes the risk of unauthorized access at the control level.

Structured management with ISO/IEC 42001: The new ISO/IEC 42001 serves as a framework for our AI management system. It ensures that AI systems are developed and operated in a transparent, ethical and risk-based manner.
