In February 2021, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWi) published the results from the 150-page study " IT Service Providers as Actors for Strengthening IT Security among SMEs in Germany". The study deals with the current status and the problems in the operational implementation of IT security between IT service providers and SMEs in particular. In addition, concrete recommendations for action in practice are derived within the study.
