Insider Threats & AI: When a colleague (or his AI) becomes a risk
The article describes how artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming the traditional insider threat within organisations. Employees can be more easily manipulated through deepfakes, AI-powered phishing or shadow AI, or may inadvertently disclose sensitive data. This gives rise to the ‘Insider 2.0’ – an interplay of human behaviour, AI tools and attackers that calls for new security strategies and a more human-centred approach.
