Action description

Anyone who travels in the digital world, whether professionally or privately, leaves data traces. Every stored contractual relationship, every interaction with companies, no matter how small, generates contact and identity data that is collected, consolidated, evaluated and further processed - often automated, usually with laudable intent.
The rapidly (grown) amount of digital identities that companies manage and process today in this way makes new structures and approaches for identity and access management (IAM) necessary. At the same time, EU data protection, governance and industry-dependent compliance requirements are making the handling of this flood of identity data increasingly complex. New concepts and systems for customer-centric IAM (Customer IAM, or CIAM for short) are emerging that aim to resolve the tension between a sense of security and the smoothest possible customer experience when using a digital service. The main concerns are user migration from legacy systems, support for new devices, scalability and end-user security.
The COMPUTERWOCHE study provides exciting insights on current trends in the market, which we discuss together with experts from the industry. read more
