Innovative ideas, interesting results, new perspectives and approaches that address current and relevant topics in IT security are sought.

The promotional prize is awarded in the following categories.

Category 1: Master's and diploma theses (universities, colleges and vocational academies)
Category 2: Bachelor's theses and student research projects (universities, colleges and universities of cooperative education)

Up to 6 theses (3 theses per category) will be nominated for the IT Security Promotion Award 2023 from the available submissions.
The final of the CAST IT Security Award 2023 will take place this year for the first time on 9 October at Congress@it-sa in Nuremberg.
The authors of the nominated works will then have the opportunity to present the results of their respective work to an interested expert audience and the jury of representatives from research and industry.

The jury will then determine the placings.
The placings will be announced on 10 October from 13:30 - 14:00 at the International Forum B in Hall 6 at it-sa.
