Action description

The Transferstelle IT-Sicherheit im Mittelstand (TISiM) takes stock of the effects of the corona pandemic on digitization and IT security in companies and at the same time gives an outlook on future fields of action. Experts in digitization and IT security are invited to share their views. The event will be opened by Ministerialrat Frank Frischer, head of the Mittelstand-Digital department. In his keynote, Dr. Stephan Sigrist gives the audience an outlook on the »Post-Corona World«. The founder & head of the think tank W.I.R.E, who has been dealing with the consequences of digitization in business and society for years, sees the next phase of digitization and IT security proven. Following the keynote, the starting point for the pilot period of the Tranferstelle IT-Sicherheit im Mittelstand (TISiM) will be declared. The great need for support in the implementation of IT security, especially in smaller companies, is shown by Dr. Michael Littger, Managing Director of Deutschland sicher im Netz e.V (DsiN). In his presentation of the DsiN Practice Report 2020 Mittelstand@IT-Sicherheit, he sheds light on the IT security situation in small and medium-sized companies before and after Corona. Why IT security is indispensable for everyone - even for the smallest of companies - will be demonstrated by cybercrime expert Cem Karakaya in his contribution on the tricks hackers use to gain access to important or sensitive company data. In addition to Cem Karakaya's statement that hackers often use people as a gateway, Richard Renner, IT security expert and entrepreneur, demands in his contribution that cyber security and its significance must also become more understandable for non-experts.
