Action description

In cooperation with the Internet Security Alliance (ISA), the Alliance for Cyber Security (ACS) of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has updated the manual Management of Cyber Risks, which was produced in 2018.

In the lecture, the updated English and German editions of "Managing Cyber Risk: A Handbook for German Boards of Directors" and "Managing Cyber Risks: A Handbook for Corporate Boards of Directors", respectively, will be presented by Arne Schönbohm, President of the German Federal Office for Information Security, and Larry Clinton, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Internet Security Alliance.

Since the publication of the first handbook "Management of Cyber Risks" in 2018, the framework conditions of the working world of German companies have changed significantly. Digitalisation in the state, economy and society has advanced rapidly in recent years. At the same time, the threat situation for information security has further intensified. The advancing digitalisation and the simultaneous increase in the threat situation make one thing clear above all: information security must be considered from the very beginning in process and product planning. It must no longer be misunderstood as a brake block, but must be seen as an investment in the future and durability of the company.

In order to make the right decisions, supervisory board members must have adequate access to cyber expertise. This is bundled in the updated edition of "Managing Cyber Risks: A Handbook for Corporate Boards", to which international experts have contributed their knowledge, expertise and best practice experiences.
