Colonial Pipeline, Mediamarkt, Kaseya - they have been victims of large-scale hacker attacks, as the cybercrime as a service (CaaS) market continues to grow. But if large and internationally active companies are already being hit, what impact do cyberattacks have on German SMEs? And how can German SMEs then protect themselves against cyberattacks? After all, small and medium-sized companies in particular often have small IT security departments as well as frequently fewer financial resources. As a result, they face a particular challenge in protecting their companies from the growing risks of cybercrime and the growing CaaS market.
