Session description
Gergana Karadzhova, a Consultant on the Cisco Talos Incident Response team, will guide the audience through an overview of the threat landscape in the first half of 2023. The session will discuss the top infection vectors and threats observed by the Talos IR team in the field, the industries which were most often targeted by adversaries, and technological and geopolitical developments beyond the technology that influence defenders.
Some of the questions that will be answered during the talk are:
- Is ransomware still the top threat to organizations?
- Are phishing emails the top entry door for adversaries?
- How is NIS2 going to affect the threat landscape in Europe?
