Authorities and companies face many challenges when it comes to future-proofing communication networks. The threat situation is continuously intensifying: cyber attacks are increasing more and more, quantum computers threaten the security of digital communication. The European regulation EU NIS2 has therefore defined minimum standards for large networks, which operators of critical infrastructures, for example, must comply with. Last but not least, bandwidth requirements are increasing due to centralised applications - and network components must take this into account.
These challenges necessitate a fundamental change in the network infrastructure: Users have to replace their old infrastructure and at the same time put future-proof solutions into operation without affecting availability.
Together with our partner EWE, we will explain our approach to building future-proof networks in this lecture.
In our presentation you will learn
- which customer and market requirements have to be taken into account
- what challenges such projects entail and
- which solutions can be used during the changeover.
Our best-practice lecture is primarily aimed at public clients as well as companies and authorities with increased security requirements. The focus is on compliance with the NIS2 specifications and the VS requirements.
