A recent incident at KnowBe4 involved a North Korean agent attempting to get hired as an IT expert. The suspected goal was to obtain foreign currency for North Korea and gain access to sensitive data. Fortunately, we uncovered the hacker just in time during the onboarding process, preventing any access to our systems. This tactic is well-known and widespread, as we learned from our collaboration with the FBI and our colleagues at Mandiant.
