atmedia Ethernet Encryptor

The atmedia encryptors secure all layer 2 and layer 3 network connections reliably and without loss of quality. The field of application spans from the encryption of point-to-point connections to the protection of complex MPLS, VPLS, Metro Ethernet and storage networks.

The systems are particularly suitable for the implementation of high-availability scenarios with low latency, in which communication between corporate locations and data centers or individual servers, PBXs, terminal systems, databases or audio/video systems must be protected.

The atmedia systems implement the network and encryption functionality using in-house developed FPGA hardware. Thanks to the AES-GCM integrity and replay protection, the devices work like a "perfect firewall". This protection against active attacks on the devices and the network is indispensable, since in many sensitive applications like control and monitoring systems, it is least as important as the actual encryption.
