About us
Complioty was founded in 2024 by Dr. Markus Hornsteiner and Dr. Philip Empl, both hold doctorates in industrial cybersecurity. Based in Munich and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the company won first place at ATHENE SpeedUpSecure in 2025 and is a finalist at the ATHENE Startup Award UP26@it-sa in 2026.
With the Complioty Scanner and the Complioty Platform we cover the Cyber Resilience Act requirements for machine and plant builders: from the software bill of materials through continuous vulnerability monitoring to the machine-readable advisory. The tools are built for companies that want to own product security themselves, without building up a dedicated vulnerability team.
