From October 7 to 9, 2025, it-sa Expo&Congress was the "Home of IT Security" for 28,267  trade visitors from 64 countries and 993 exhibitors. – A new exhibitor record and over 9% more trade visitors than last year underscore the importance of the trade fair.

In more than 400 forum presentations across six open forums and over 70 sessions and workshops at the accompanying Congress@it-sa focused on current trends and topics in IT security, knowledge transfer and networking.

Highlights of the supporting programme included a special keynote speech by Dr Jean-Marc Rickli and the presentation of the ATHENE Startup Award UP25@it-sa to the startup Infrafon from Freiburg.

Highlights in the 2025 forum programme

  • More than 400 forum posts in six open forums were once again real crowd pullers this year.
  • The special keynote on ‘Security and the geopolitical impact of new technologies’ was given by Jean-Marc Rickli, Head of Global and Emerging Risks at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
  • Infrafon was the winner of the ATHENE Startup Award UP25@it-sa in 2025. The young company from Freiburg presented its credit card-sized smart badges with ePaper touchscreens, which were developed specifically for hospitals and other regulated areas.

For registered users of it-sa 365, all contributions to the open forums will soon be available on demand.

Successful digital offerings in 2025

it-sa 365 connects the IT security community 365 days a year.

While it-sa Expo&Congress marks the highlight of the industry year, it-sa 365 in 2025 offered numerous recurring information offerings such as the IT Security Talks, the it-sa Preview Day before the trade fair, and it-sa@home, the hybrid Expo channel.

The number of registered users is rising continuously and in November 2025 was over 16,400.
