Welcome by the Federal Minister of the Interior and Community and patron of the it-sa Expo&Congress 2022
Nancy Faeser, Federal Minister of the Interior and Community, takes over the patronage of the it-sa Expo&Congress 2022 for the first time.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I was delighted to take over the patronage of the it-sa Expo&Congress in my capacity as Federal Minister of the Interior and Community for the first time this year. As a major industry expo, it is of particular relevance with regard to the issue of cyber- and information security.
Ensuring the continuous further development of cyber- and information security, and underpinning it with the cybersecurity agenda recently published by myself are mat-ters that are close to my heart. With this in mind, the it-sa Expo&Congress is the perfect companion for the projects that I have initiated. It is therefore important that the it-sa Expo&Congress can take place in the usual form again in 2022, and makes it possible for government and business IT experts to meet in person. This personal contact drives important Europe-wide as well as international collaborations ahead.
Not only governments and businesses will benefit from this, but also the consumers.
